My name is Cooper, and I am the owner of CC Exotics. I’m located in Rockwall, Texas, and all orders ship from there.

How I Got Into Isopods and Springtails

When I first got my Leopard Gecko, I built a bioactive enclosure — which meant I needed isopods and springtails as a cleanup crew. I started with Powder Mix isopods, which I think are among the most versatile and reliable species for almost any setup.

A few months later, my colony exploded in numbers! I decided to sell some to my local pet store, and that’s when I realized I could turn my hobby into a small business. I used that first bit of money to buy more species and expand my collection — and I’ve been growing ever since.

All of my leaves, bark, and seed pods come from trusted friends who collect them in pesticide-free forests in Florida & Texas. Everything I sell is clean, safe, and collected responsibly.

My Goal

My goal is to provide affordable, healthy isopods, springtails, supplies, and other invertebrates for other hobbyists who share a similar passion in this hobby. I love helping others get started or grow their colonies.

Everything that I sell is everything I personally use with my isopods and springtails. I don't sell anything that I don't trust or don't use.

I always source all my live insects from reputable sellers, keeping in mind that it is very important to keep pure cultures of species that can hybridize. Whether you are someone expanding your invertebrate collection or building a bioactive enclosure, you can always depend on healthy cultures, accurate pictures, and professional packaging to get what you ordered, the first time.
